There should be a name for that moment when you’re watching an older movie you’ve seen three or four times before and you realize an actor you like has been in it all along -“Holy shit that’s Dean Norris!” or “Holy shit that’s Carver from The Wire!”

Also I’m gonna get to work on a “Holy shit that’s Dean Norris!” super-cut from all his “Holy shit that’s Dean Norris” moments. (Gattaca, T2, Lethal Weapon 2, etc…)

And I guess another one of the neat things about Netflix is that you’ll end up with 200 movies in a list and you don’t really remember why they’re there. It took me months to find the mood and time to chip through a few selects from a top ten horror movies list Chad Hartigan made halloweens ago. Some of this stuff I guess is because some director I like mentioned it in some interview somewhere. Maybe a movie is there for an actor I like, maybe from when I was in that Eric Bana phase. Sleep Dealer was there because of some website’s “Top Ten Sci Fi Films of the Past Ten Years” list, I think, and who knows when I read it and when it ended up in my queue. I like this weird wish list of movies I might never make it through, and when something neat finally finds the mood and time.
